Lux Row Distillers introduces Lux Row Estate Bourbon

Made with corn grown onsite, the latest Lux Row variant is now available at the distillery

ST. LOUIS (March 11, 2026) – A field of dreams has come to fruition. Bardstown, Kentucky-based Lux Row Distillers is introducing Lux Row Estate Bourbon – a 5-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey made with #2 yellow corn that was grown onsite at Lux Row. Offered at 107 proof (53.5% ABV), Lux Row Estate Bourbon is now available exclusively at Lux Row Distillers at a minimum suggested retail price of $99.99 per 750mL bottle.

The idea for a homegrown bourbon came from Lux Row Distillers Master Distiller John Rempe, who worked with his team to identify and plant the perfect variant of corn in an 11-acre field where rickhouses 6, 7, 8 and 9 now stand. After harvest, Rempe carefully crafted the Estate recipe using a mash bill of 78% homegrown corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye.

“Estate has been a true labor of love – from field to bottle – and the result exceeds all my expectations,” said Rempe. “Before the rickhouses were built, I remember looking out across the land we were farming for hay and thinking we could put these fields to use to do something really special – and we did. It’s a delicious pour and wonderful testament to Kentucky’s natural resources and bourbon heritage.”

Lux Row Estate Bourbon is a beautiful sipper with an amazing honey-forward nose that carries through on the palate, accompanied by notes of brown sugar and black cherry. A subtle hint of rye comes through in the light spice and dark chocolate finish.

“I’ve always wanted to grow my own grains for a bourbon and this was the perfect  opportunity,” said Rempe. “I partnered with a local corn farmer, tested the grain through the growing process and rode along in the combine to harvest it. I love the sense of pride and accomplishment from seeing this Estate bourbon go from grain to glass with corn I grew myself. I think people are really going to enjoy this special bourbon.”

Lux Row Estate Bourbon joins a growing family of award-winning Lux Row products. Offerings  include Small Batch Albariño Cask Finish; Small Batch PX Sherry Cask Finish, which won a Double Gold at the 2025 SIP Awards and was recognized by Whisky Advocate as one of the Top 20 Whiskies of 2025; 12-Year Double Barrel; and Lux Row Four Grain Double Single Barrel, which earned a Gold medal at the ASCOT Awards, a Best of Class Platinum designation at the SIP Awards and a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Augusta Distillery Buckner's Single Barrel 13 Year Bourbon

Every so often, when the timing is right and the aging process is exactly  where they want it to be, Augusta Distillery releases their Buckner's Single Barrel 13 Year Bourbon.  There are two things you should know about this bourbon; it is delicious and it always sells out - quickly!  The bottle we are tasting today has a "bonus" to it if are a proof hound, because this one is just a tick away from being considered a hazmat bottle.  Let's get into it...
